Leaves turning yellow and days feeling shorter can only mean one thing – Back to School season is just around the corner! Although we still feel summer’s last breath on our neck and want to seize its final days, we know summer is undoubtedly going to its end.

Speaking of Instagram, we smoothly move to the next section- Industry News.
Since its 2020 launch, the Instagram Shop continues to grow. The giant is rolling out the next element of its eCommerce push, becoming an even more ‘shoppable’ platform. A new “promoted products” option within the Shop tab is now available to all merchants on the app. Brands will now be able to promote their products on the Shop tab front page, with a ‘Sponsored’ disclaimer marking the posts.
Instagram is also removing the “swipe-up” feature for Stories, replacing it with link stickers! This change can be a great opportunity for many businesses, enabling more functionality within the Stories process. Read more here.
Some important information for SEO specialists! Google is updating the way it generates web page titles in search results. The update is designed to produce more readable and accessible titles for pages, especially when encountering long, empty, or irrelevant titles. However, Google still recommends sticking to previous rules on creating HTML title tags, as they will still be used over 80% of the time. We recommend reading what Google says about this update.
Marketing Does Good
At Monsoon, we put special attention into environmental initiatives. Internally, we celebrate various green events such as Earth Day – this year, we cleaned up a nearby park, gathering and properly disposing of TONS of waste. We regularly use our beautiful Monsoon bottles, food containers, and tote bags made from organic cotton to reduce waste. We strongly believe that even small steps towards a greener life can benefit our environment in BIG ways.
We’re happy to see more people go green using the power of social media. In the last few years, Instagram has become a new space for those passionate in their fields, turning them into high-class international educators. This readily accessible information is now at everyone’s fingertips.
There are thousands of interesting accounts on Instagram that share valuable content about the environment and sustainability. Wondering who to follow? We prepared a shortlist of our favorite accounts:
As he describes himself: “Activist dedicated to sustainability, equity and justice. Inspiring, educating, and empowering you to be the change you wish to see in the world.”
A wildlife photographer who worked for National Geographic for 25 years. A founder of Photo Ark, a 25-year project to show the world the beauty of biodiversity and inspire action to save species. He says: “My goal is simple: to get the public to care and save species from extinction.”
Inspiring accounts full of sustainable, zero-waste tips that you can use in your everyday life. Learn how to make your own environmentally-friendly (and cheaper) cleaning products and how to grow veggies at home.
Share your favorite Instagram accounts so we can fill our feeds with the best content around!
Time goes by when you’re having fun! We hope that you found some useful marketing and eco-friendly tips from our Knowledge Drop! We await your comments and insights as always…
